Our Goals

Since our launch in August of 2005, we’ve created a lot of awareness about the dire state of affairs on a personal level of the patients of Korle-Bu Hospital. This year, our main goals are to move from awareness to solid action.

Our first goal is to raise $10,000 (US) by years end. With this amount, approximately 250 children can be released by years end. This is absolutely attainable, with consistent and dedicated support of $20 a month by 41 people.

Next, we aim at providing new or gently used equipment in the hospital wards. As you can see from our photo gallery, there is a lot of construction taking place at the hospital, but there is still a lot of work to be done. One of the shining bastions is the new NICU for premature and severely ill babies. We want to do our part to see that any extra funds go to maintaining the upkeep of this area, as well as the general wards.

We’ve also begun partnering with large conglomerates and corporations, like General Electric, who have an interest in supporting NGO work in Ghana and Africa as a whole. We’re also looking forward to working with local Ghanaian businesses to aid with philanthropic work in this area. Perhaps our biggest and most enduring goal is to gain more groundswell and grassroots support amongst a broad-spectrum of people. Identifying people with a common vision is no small task. That’s the hardest part. But when people are unified under a common vision and given the tools to make that vision a reality, the results can be a beautiful and powerful thing.

This year, please join us in bringing relief, hope and a smile to many families. Join us in our cause:
