My view of the world has been influenced by the blessing of consistent migration. I was born in Sydney, Australia, grew up in Ghana, England and the US, went to university in Cape Town, South Africa and am finally settling in Accra, Ghana to practice medicine. I have been fortunate to work in the pediatric department of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where there is so much need, but where one has the opportunity to work with dedicated and resourceful people who strive to provide the best care they can, despite the numerous challenges. I see on a daily basis nurses, doctors and all the staff at the unit using limited resources to keep the medical facility afloat, often with great personal sacrifice. They do it because their spirit of patriotism is greater than their need for glory; and because they understand that in helping their wards, they help the larger community. As Hospital Liaison to the Fund, I know that the impact of the efforts made by our donors will reach further than they can imagine. We have no where to go but up!

Love like you’ve never been hurt before
Work like you don’t need the money
Dance like no one’s watching
God bless!

Eunice graduated from Hermann Gmeiner International College in 1996 and went on to received her MBChB from the University of Cape Town in 2002. She is currently pursuing a degree in Public Health from the University of Ghana.
